Hello from the magic tavern
Although this isn't necessarily book related, today I'm here to review a podcast. It's called Hello from the Magic Tavern and everything is improv based.
Basically all you need to know is that Arnie Kneecamp (a human from Earth) fell through a magical portal behind a Burger King into the fantastical land of Foon. Arnie now lives in the tavern the vermilion minatar in the town of Hogsface, where he hosts a weekly podcast. His two co-hosts are Chunt, a talking badger/shapeshifter who changes shape by sexing other animals, and Usidore the blue, a wizard whose name and titles get longer with every episode.
Each episode the three interview travelers warriors and magical creatures. Arnie ineptly interviews the guests and more often than not insults them and refuses to answer any questions about Earth. Usidore is either shouting or whispering incoherently in something called "the wizard state". That leaves Chunt as master of innuendo and stupid catchphrases. The three have hilarious banter and the listeners will learn plenty about the made up world of Foon and the people that live there.
All three performers have great chemistry and are always quick with jokes and references. Their guests are also improv actors that add interesting and funny content. You can find Hello from the Magic Tavern wherever you get your podcasts. I listen every week and suggest you do too.
