Lost Boy

Lost boy review

Everyone knows the story of Peter Pan, the boy who lives in Neverland and never grows up. Everyone also knows the story of Captain Hook, the dastardly evil villain that tries to kill Peter

Pan at every turn. But think about it, you have only seen Peter's side of the story, and you probably don't know much about Captain Hook's life before he was a pirate. In Christina Henry's

new book Lost Boy, readers get an in depth view of Captain Hook's time as one of Peter's Lost Boys and how he grew up to hate his former best friend.

Jamie was the first of Peter's Lost Boys, and his favourite. Peter brought Jamie and all the other boys to Neverland because there were no rules and the boys would never have to grow up. Peter is a great adventurer and playmate but if one of the Lost Boys needed things that Peter deemed “boring” like food or shelter, Jamie was the one they went to. All the boys on the island

learned to live with no rules, monsters on the island and pirates, but when Peter brings a new boy called Charlie to the island things get real. Most of the boys are over the age of 12 and love wrestling and attacking pirates but Charlie is around 5 years old and needs more attention than Peter is willing to give up.Charlie's arrival makes Jamie and the other Lost Boys see a more questionable side of Peter.

Lost Boy is a riveting tale of betrayal, monsters, lies and growing up. It is an amazing twist to the classic tale everyone knows, and if you are looking for something new and exciting I suggest you read Lost Boy.
